Cellebrite computer systems and software are used to quickly bypass user lock codes on cell phones and extract every piece of data from a device, which is then decoded, analyzed, and reported on or shared, all managed from one platform. Information gleaned can be used to target and incriminate people as well as for prosecutions, and is used by police departments internationally as well as militaries and governments across the globe.
Cellebrite UFED 4PC is the software program that allows LAPD to extract phone data (including cloud data), and parse and analyze the data.
Cellebrite technology allows investigators to preserve specific metadata on files such as date and time stamps.
